OC Guide

Want to make an oc that fits within the lore and world of my persona? Here's the complete guide of rules to do as such!I will add more information if necessary, and If you have any questions, feel free to ask me.I look forward to seeing the characters you create!! :D

Beings

Beings You can be:

Whims:
Whims are your standard people. Think humans or elves. They don't contain any special abilities like wonders do, but they are more frequent and common within tempervelle.

Wonders:
Wonders are animal-esque, take Red for example, typically presenting with their respective animal traits. They also contain the ability to shift into said animal or creature.
Said animal can be real, fictional, or even a hybrid.

Beings You cannot be:

Warnings:
Warnings are the residents of the Clock Tower. Much like wishes, everyone has one. They act as a person's shadow, embodying the things a person tries to hide about themself.
You do not need to design your warning if you don't want to- after all, you wouldn't enter the Clock Tower, right?

Appearances:

Standard Rules:
1. You must have a mask! It doesn't have to cover your entire face, you can even wear it on your waist. Point still stands, you must have a mask. How much and how the mask covers your face translates to how open and true you are with others.
(ie. How much do you mask around others, and how so? For example, a person with a mask only covering their eyes might represent that while they speak openly about their thoughts if asked, tend to hide who they are- eyes being windows to the soul and all that.)
Red does have a mask themself, I just haven't shown it yet.
2. If your character has entered the Clock Tower and been granted a wish- do not draw them with pupils3. The outfit standards are just that, standard. A person who's more extroverted can absolutely wear something that leans towards the introverted side, and vice versa

Leaning More Introverted:
A person leaning more introverted might wear an outfit that leans towards steampunk, engineer, or punk fashions in general.
An Example of someone who fits this would be Red with their standard outfit.

Leaning more extroverted:
A person leaning more extroverted might wear an outfit that leans more towards circus or masquerade themes.
An Example of someone who fits this would be Murdock with the outfit he typically presents with.

Secret third option:
Maybe you don't want to permanently stay within Tempervelle. No worries! While I can't tell you about the world outside the city, I can tell you that those who typically follow the traveling merchants typically wear more flow-y bohemian or cottage-core or traditional cultural inspired outfits. I tend to look at European/Slavic ones, but you are welcome to pull your own culture for influence, I would love to see that.
An Example of someone who fits this would be Murdock with the outfit he wears typically on a day off.

Wishes

What are wishes?
Wishes are just that- a wish. Something someone would like granted if they were to make it to the top of the Clock Tower, and all the way back down and exit- as per the legend of course.
Ask anyone, and they'll tell you they have a wish- whether they tell you what it is or not is another story.*
* Please share your wish if you share your character. I think wishes can give a lot of insight into them, plus there's bonuses to sharing them- check the rules for said bonuses.Rules:
1. Do not legalese your wish- I will have you choose a new one, because let's be honest you wouldn't think to do that because the rules of the Clock Tower would be unknown to your Tempervelle OC
2. Dependent on how a wish is phrased, you can end up with extra abilities past what you initially wished for!*
* Unsure what extra abilities your wish might grant you? No worries, I am happy to help
3. You must monkey-paw your wish. I say this because the unfortunate news is that the Clock Tower is now your home- granted that you've entered of course. So yes, your wish will be granted, but no, you cannot leave.*
* Certain wishes do have a very minor loop-hole to this, but don't assume yours does. I will let you know based on what your wish is, if it contains one that would allow for such a thing to be.
4. You can have multiple wishes! However, any wish past the first must be deeply ingrained within a person. (Ie. You can ask for anything with your first wish, but your second+ wish will have to be more personal to be granted.)Example Second+ Wish:
I wish to not be spurned by those I thought I could trust.
